JAMB Change Of Institution & Data Correction 2026/2027 is a service provided by the Board (JAMB) to students who wish to switch their first or second choice of institution after registering.

To apply for a change of course or institution in Nigeria as a candidate, there are certain documents required and we’ll list them below:

How To Apply for JAMB Change of Institution

Login To Your JAMB Profile

• JAMB Student Portal @https://portal.jamb.gov.ng/efacility_, fill the required box with your correct Email address and Password and click on the Login button

Click On “Application For Correction of Data”

• Once logged in, you will be taken to the landing page where you will see all available services. Select “Correction of Data”. This is available on the side bar or on the Home page

Select the Course/Institution Option on the Drop down Menu

• When you click on “Application for correction of data” you will see a drop down, Select from the menu item what you wish to correct (which in this case is Course/Institution)

Select Exam Year and Enter Registration Number

• When you click on Course/Institution, You will be taken to a page where you will be asked to fill in Your Exam year and JAMB registration number, fill in this information appropriately and click on Search Details.You will be taken to a “Payment Choice dashboard” where you will choose your preferred payment method (I would recommend you use remita)

Click On “Pay With Remita”

• On the next page, Select the “Pay with Remita” button
• Preview the Information and Confirm

• View information, and make sure it corresponds with the intended change you wish to make. Click on “Confirm this Information“
• Hit the “Pay Now Button”

• After clicking on the “confirm this information” button, you will be taken to the “pay now” page which is shown below, click on the pay now button.
• You will be taken to the remita page, where you can now complete your payment. The status of your payment will be displayed on the “My Payment Section.
• ”An SMS and email containing your unique Transaction Identification and payment status will be sent to you after payment. Click on the Continue button.

How to Change JAMB Course, Institution, and Data Correction in 2026

• Visit the JAMB portal at https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/
• Login: Use your email and password to access your account.
• Navigate to Data Correction: Select “Correction of Data” from the sidebar or the Home page, then choose “Course/Institution” and specify your exam year.
• Search for Your Details: Enter your JAMB registration number and click “Search Details.”
• Make a Payment: Select a payment option, such as Remita, and enter your card details. After completing the payment, preview your information. If everything is correct, confirm and click “Pay Now.”
• Complete the Payment: Once the payment is successful, you will see your payment details and receive a transaction ID via email or SMS.
• Continue with the Correction: Click “Continue” and provide your Year of Exam and JAMB Registration Number.
• Select Your Preferences: Choose your preferred course/institution and your second choice. Submit the correct information.
• Processing: JAMB will process your request, and if approved, your details will be updated accordingly.

There is no official deadline for JAMB data correction for the 2026 UTME yet, but candidates should act as soon as possible after the correction portal opens on March 8th, 2026, to avoid issues with their admission.

 You must visit a JAMB-approved CBT centre or office with your UTME registration slip to apply for changes like course, institution, name, date of birth, or state/local government.
