•  Using Chrome, visit  https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/login
• Input your email and password.
• 4Click login and you should be directed to your dashboard.

How to accept or decline an admission on JAMB CAPS

There are cases where due to the Jamb score you have, you may be offered admission to an institution that you do not want.  The good news is that you can reject the admission without any penalty, you just need to follow the steps below:

• Get internet access.
• Visit the JAMB e-facility using the Chrome browser.
• Enter your email and password as required, then click the login button.
• Look through the page for the “Check Admission Status” button and click on it.
• Choose the year you wrote your exam.
• Enter your JAMB Registration number in the space provided.
• Click on “Access my CAPS”.
• Check the left corner and click on the “Admission Status” button.
• Under your Registration number, click on the search tab to open your profile.
• Under “Admission Profile,” choose to accept or reject your admission.

NOTE: it is important to go through things properly. After checking your admission status, if you have been awarded admission, you must log in and accept or reject the admission.  If you accept the admission, it will be wise to print your letter of admission as evidence to the institution during the screening exercise.

Common admission offers messages

After following the easy steps above, there are certain messages that you may find on your dashboard such as admitted, recommended, not admitted, and admission in progress.

When the message “Recommended” pops up on your screen, it simply means that you have probably been offered admission elsewhere other than your school of choice.

Admission in progress is simply trying to tell you that you have to exercise patience and visit the site much later. Your schools of choice could still be computing the names of the admitted candidates and have not displayed them on the site yet.

The “Not Admitted” message is very clear to understand as it simply means NO school has offered you admission, probably because your Jamb score was too poor or thereabout.

 If “Admitted” pops up, I guess Congratulations are in order as you have not only passed the examination but have also been offered admission into the school of your choice.
